The homes presented here represent a small portion of the houses I have designed over the past thirty-five years. Each home reflects a unique design appropriate to the individual personality of each family and the natural attributes of each site.
The projects range from the very small and simple to the large and complex. Many are additions to or remodeling of existing homes.
Personal histories, possessions, and relationships are the inspiration for each new design as the form of each home is born from a fusion of practicality and imagination, individuality and community, and mind and nature.
To me, a designed home is never just a building: it is our most significant and intimate refuge. A place where we feel at home with ourselves and at home in the world…a very special place indeed.
